Touchstone Gallery – 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Touchstone presents three new openings this May. First, In Pursuit of Happiness, paintings by Aleksandra Katargina, elaborate on paths one can take to pursue happiness. Second, I Belong Here: Art of the Shaw Community features the artworks created at the Touchstone@ArtSpace workshop. Lastly, Touchstone members will exhibit work in a group show. ReCreative Spaces – 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The opening of Injustice Among Us will include live performance by DC-area tap dancer Baakari Wilder. The exhibition itself examines life in the United Sates from a perspective too often-silenced or underrepresented. For details, click here.

DC GlassWorks – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
DC GlassWorks hosts visiting artists Einar and Jamex de la Torre for glass-making demonstrations. Their oeuvres can be seen in galleries and museums around the globe, and have been extensively published in numerous catalogs and art editions. For more information, click here.

Mid City Open Studios
Visit over twenty working artists’ studios during the Mid City Artists Studio Tours. Visitors can go on guided tours or design their own walking map of the area for a self-guided, art-filled afternoon promenade. For more information and times, click here.
