“Sip & Shop” at Hills Kitchen to Benefit No Kid Hungry

HillsKitchenSipShopv3_smallJoin Share Our Strength and local chefs from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, at Hill’s Kitchen for the District’s second “Sip & Shop,” a night of shopping, food and drink to benefit No Kid Hungry, Share Our Strength’s campaign to end childhood hunger in America.

Enjoy mocktails and cheese from Hank’s Oyster Bar and Sona Creamery & Wine Bar while browsing the store. Ten percent of all of your purchases during the evening will go to No Kid Hungry.

Looking for something extra special? Sip & Shop will highlight a selection of seven beloved Capitol Hill restaurateurs’ favorite Hill’s Kitchen items, with 20 percent of the retail price benefiting No Kid Hungry. Find chef- and mixologist-approved gifts, all thoughtfully chosen by Taste of the Nation DC mixology chair Gina Chersavani (soda spritzer) and chefs Douglas Alexander of Art and Soul (MAC knives), Spike Mendelsohn of Good Stuff Eatery (aprons), Jamie Leeds of Hank’s Oyster Bar (microplane zester), Andrew Markert of Beuchert’s Saloon (All-Clad 10-Inch fry pans), and Conan and Genevieve O’Sullivan of Sona Creamery (cheese boards).

Select No Kid Hungry merchandise will also be available, with full proceeds benefiting the campaign’s work to connect kids to the healthy food they need, every day.
