Add a splash of color to your holidays!

unnamed-4What’s tall and colorful and filled with cider? It’s CHAW on winter festival day!

That’s right, the CHAW Annual Winter Performance Festival & Arts Showcase is BACK! On Saturday, December 13th, CHAW will be buzzing with all kinds of arts opportunities for all ages. Looking for local, artisan pieces for holiday gifts that won’t break the bank? We’ve got ceramics, jewelry, and more that fit the bill. Need a bit of pep in your step? Check out our performance blocks and sign up for a class of your own! Santa Claus will be visiting Barracks Row just down G St., so it’s a perfect day for the whole family to come out and celebrate winter with art, fun, and holiday cheer.

CHAW will be open all day, so drop in and join us for any of our fun events:

  • 11am-5pm: Art Sales/Shop ‘n Drop and winter class registration
  • 12pm-1pm: Youth Arts Program performances and demonstrations; Youth Arts Program Art Show
  • 1pm-4pm: Gingerbread House-making fundraiser at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 3rd and A Sts. SE

The showcase features CHAW students of all ages and teachers from every corner of the building—there is something for everyone! Family fun, winter sweets, and lots of opportunities to watch, appreciate, and create art!

The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop has been Building community through the arts since 1972, and we invite you to come be a part of it all. Our Hill neighbors make us who we are, and we thank you for supporting the arts in your community—it would be a whole lot less fun without you!
