Join us Thursday, April 24, as we honor the people, projects and partners that have made a difference in restoring, enhancing and protecting the tree canopy of our nation’s capital at Casey Trees’ inaugural Canopy Awards.
Happening at the historic Dock5 at Union Market from 6:30 PM – 10 PM, the Canopy Awards will feature two live bands, great food (including a Shake Shack pop-up and Buffalo & Bergen sodas), an open bar, games (including bocce and an 8-foot putt putt course), a silent auction and more!
The honorees for the evening, all champions of the District’s tree canopy in one capacity or another, include former D.C. mayor Anthony A. Williams, whose understanding of and appreciation for the environment led to the most significant investment in growing and protecting an American city’s tree canopy at the time.
Councilmembers and community leaders will also be in attendance, all in support of Casey Trees mission to engage the community in supporting D.C.’s tree canopy for the long term.
