There’s nothing like a trip to Eastern Market and a glimpse of the kodachrome colors of the summer bounty to make you want to reach for the camera. Starting Wednesday you can add the small farmers market across from Watkins School on 13th Street, SE to your rounds to pick up your groceries and find beautiful, tasty subjects. The market runs from 4-8 p.m. each Wednesday and you can plan on seeing fresh local groceries through the fall. Strawberries photograph just as well as peas (that would be a hint to our Flickr group members) and fresh asparagus, tomatoes, spinach, beets, chard and collards are yours for the picking.
