Just How Hot Is It?

I drove past this sign a few days ago when my car’s external thermometer said 85 degrees. My car has always been quite accurate compared to other thermometers I’ve passed. The Citibank sign said 102 degrees. I don’t find it very trustworthy.
Yeah the sun hits it in the afternoon which definitely jacks up the temp a bit, but I still thought it was pretty crazy that it even said as high as 108.
