The holiday season is right around the corner, so it’s slim pickings for the next two weeks, but these shows are definitely worth your while. If you’re into DJ sets, check out U Street Music Hall this holiday season. There is no shortage of dancing with a set nearly every night until Christmas. If EDM isn’t your thing, check out these other upcoming shows.

On the Hill:

On December 16, D.C. based Fellowcraft is putting the rock in Rock & Roll Hotel with rugged, guitar-driven tracks. In just a few short years, Fellowcraft has built up their momentum in the local music scene with their debut EP, “…the Singles,” and their first full-length record, “Get Up Young Phoenix,” released in January 2016. These guys have built this band on their passion for the music they love and the stories they wish to tell. Buy tickets here.

Come out and show your support for the local music scene with this incredible show featuring three D.C. based bands. Headlining the Rock & Roll Hotel on December 23 is In Your Memory. This 5-piece post-hardcore act was formed in 2012 and has made their mark with their captivating stage presence. Citing influence from bands such as Thrice, Senses Fail, and Deftones, this show will surely give you the energy needed to carry you through the holidays. In Your Memory will be supported by Set For Tomorrow and Technicians, both hailing from the D.C. area. Set For Tomorrow has been dominating the local music scene and Technicians have built up their reputation for energetic live shows. Buy tickets here.

Around DC:

Eccentric, unorthodox, dynamic, and enthusiastic can all be used to describe You Won’t and their take on indie folk. This Massachusetts-based duo will be headlining Black Cat on December 14. Their new album Revolutionaries and their exciting live shows have earned them opening spots alongside The Lumineers and The Joy Formidable, as well as a performance on Last Call with Carson Daly. You Won’t will surely bring an incredible show to D.C. that you will not want to miss. Buy tickets here.

If you’re itching for a show that will keep you moving to the beat all night, don’t miss Crash Boom Bang headlining 9:30 Club on December 22. As a pop band with a hint of rock influence, this quartet is sure to get you up and moving and ready for the weekend. That Lying Bitch, a band that leans a little more on the punk rock side of things, will be supporting Crash Boom Bang. This quartet, featuring Tom Higgenson from the Plain White T’s, will get your blood pumping with fast paced, catchy melodies. Buy tickets here.
