Two educational forums on the upcoming city elections will be held tonight at Brown AME, 130 14th St, NE. (Fliers around the neighborhood list the address as 120 14th, NE, but when I called the church to confirm, they gave me the 130 14th St address.)
First up, from 6:30 to 7:30, is for Council Chair; the second, from 7:30 to 8:30, is for Mayor. The event is sponsored by the Public Interest Civic Association and co-sponsored by Bynum & Bynum Associates, the Linden Association and the H Street Community Development Corporation.
I had difficulty finding out any other details about the event, though one person I spoke to said they are expecting Mayor Fenty and a member of the Council.
