  1. What sets this party apart from other New Year’s Eve celebrations in DC?

Here at Woolly, we always try to do things a little out of the ordinary…and that includes this event. Our “Neo Year’s Eve” is guaranteed to be a fun, hassle free night with not only a fabulous party, but some great entertainment. And the best part — no standing outside in the cold waiting to get into a venue! We’ve taken care of it all. Guests will get to join us for a 10:30pm performance of Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind by the Chicago Neo-Futurists followed by an amazing after party featuring an open bar, Milk Bar desserts, and a champagne toast to ring in the New Year.

  1. Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind is a great title — is it a good show to build a party around?

This show is 30 plays in 60 minutes with tons of audience interaction. At times, it can actually feel like more of a party game than a formal production.

  1. Your theatre hosts quite a few high-profile events throughout the year, correct?

We do! In addition to our year-round productions and annual Dinner on Stage event each fall, Woolly rents out our unique space to a variety of organizations. We’ve had everything from small business meetings, to weddings, to three day events for Google. There’s always something going on at Woolly. Coming up on January 11th, we’re hosting a free event featuring a performance by the National Symphony Orchestra’s Last Stand Quartet and violinist Nistha Raj, to celebrate our upcoming production of Guards at the Taj.

  1. Are you excited to have the acclaimed Momofuku Milk Bar catering the desserts?

We’re so excited to work with Milk Bar for this event. We’ll have cakes, cookies and cake truffles galore — so make sure to not fill up on dinner before you come, because you’ll want to try all of their amazing flavors. No waiting in line!

  1. Will partygoers get to meet the cast after the show?

Of course! The Neo-Futurists will be joining the party after their performance so if you’re a big Neo’s fan, this is the party for you. And if you’re not yet, you definitely will be after seeing their show.

  1. You didn’t actually give a baby a cigar and a martini, did you?

Woolly’s known for our avant-garde productions, but don’t worry — no babies were harmed in the making of this image.
