Based on the posts that elicit the most passionate comments, we know for sure there’s a significant foodie population out there on the Hill. So it stands to reason that some of you have dreams of perhaps having a little café or coffee shop of your own. Think Local First wants to help you realize that dream, tempered with a little bit of the reality of what it takes to get a restaurant up and running.
On Tuesday, April 3rd, TLF is hosting Ingredients for Success: How to Launch and Operate a Restaurant in DC. Drawing on the expertise of local restauranteurs from spots like Busboys and Poets, Tryst, Open City, The Diner, Local16 and Ripple, the event is designed to get budding entrepreneurs started on the right foot. Because believe me, as a business owner myself, DC can be a maddening place to have a business — normal rules of logic do not always apply. Advice from the battle tested is a huge help.
The event takes place April 3rd, 8:30am – 5pm at the Busboys and Poets on 5th & K, NW. See the registration page for more information.
