Happy unofficial start to fall — Labor Day is past, kids are in school, fashion etiquette is saying we shouldn’t wear white pants and shoes again until next spring, and beach trips are wrapping up.  Where did the summer go and why so quickly?  But with fall comes football season, the leaves changing color, sweaters and boots, and a welcome break from heat and humidity.  But really, it’s just another Tuesday at work.  So if you’d like to put off tacking the inbox after a long weekend, here are a few items to help you procrastinate.

  • JDLand shared some information on Xavier Cervera’s newest planned venture at the Boilermaker Shops by the ballpark.  There’s also a rumor he has something planned for Canal Park, but that’s apparently not a done deal yet.
  • Young & Hungry reviewed Crunkcakes, a favorite cupcake stand at the H Street farmers market.
  • Frozen Tropics reported that Taylor Gourmet is changing its policy on not offering mayo on their sandwiches.
  • Did a helicopter wake up up last Thursday night?  MPD was searching for and arrested a robbery suspect, according to DCist.
  • The Washington Post featured some of the staff at the I Street, SE McDonald’s.
