We’ve now had our first 100-degree heat index and it’s not even June. Is anyone else a bit worried about what kind of summer we’re about to experience? My new running routine will need to move to the treadmill if things don’t improve out there soon! …that, and I will need to find a friend with a house in Maine and convince my day job to let me telecommute for the next three months. While I come up with ways to make that happen, here is some reading for you to catch up on while enjoying that morning cup of coffee.

Anyone have any idea what was going on in the block of the Harris Teeter yesterday (Sunday) afternoon around 5:30? The DCPD had closed off the entire block, both traffic and sidewalks, for an unknown (by me) period of time.
