There’s still time to get your ticket to this year’s Literary Feast, the annual around-the-Hill event where hosts invite guests into their homes for a meal based on a book of their choosing. This year features 35 meals based on, among others, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Alice in Wonderland, Choose Your Own Adventure: House of Danger, The Feminine Mystique and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. This isn’t a book club – you certainly don’t have to have read any of the books to enjoy the evening!
After your meal, meet up with other Literary Feast attendees at the North Hall of Eastern Market to rehash your evening and finish up with sundaes from Ben & Jerry’s and dancing.
Proceeds from the Feast go to the Capitol Hill Community Foundation’s Grants to Neighborhood Schools.
Oh, and single men? Word is that this event attracts a lot of single women, so if you’re looking for a literary-minded woman who enjoys good food, this might be the place!
