- Arrest Made in an Armed Carjacking (Knife) Offense: Unit Block of Florida Avenue, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Knife) offense that occurred on Friday, February 11, 2022, in the Unit block of Florida Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 3:01 pm, the suspect approached the victims, who were seated in a vehicle, at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victims’ vehicle. The victims complied. The suspect fled the scene in the victims’ vehicle. The suspect was later apprehended and the victim’s vehicle was recovered with assistance from the Prince George’s County Police Department.
On Friday, February 11, 2022, 34 year-old Kenard Wright, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Knife).

- Suspects Sought in an Armed Robbery (Gun) of an Establishment Offense: 1200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police First District seek the public’s assistance in locating and identifying suspects in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) of an Establishment offense that occurred on Saturday, February 12, 2022, in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 6:19 pm, the suspects entered a business and approached a store employee. The suspects brandished a handgun, demanded money from the register and property from the employee. The employee complied. The suspects fled the scene.
The suspects were described as:
S-1: Black Male, 6’0″, black clothing armed with a black handgun.
S-2: Black Male, black clothing, heavy set and armed with a black hand gun.
S-3: Black Male, black clothing, 5’4″.
The suspects were captured by a nearby camera and can be seen in the photos above.
- Arrests Made in a Robbery (Force and Violence) Offense: 900 Block of H Street, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce arrests have been made in reference to a Robbery (Force and Violence) Offense that occurred on Saturday, February 12, 2022, in the 900 block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 4:32 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.
On Saturday, February 12, 2022, 22 year-old Jermaine Parker, 23 year-old Michael Gaskins, and 22 year-old Daquan Carter, all of Southeast, DC, were arrested and charged with Robbery (Force and Violence).
- Suspect Sought in a Burglary Two Offense: 1300 Block of H Street, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to a Burglary Two offense that occurred on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in the 1300 block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 1:00 am, the suspect forced entry into an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene.

- Armed robbery – 1500 Block of Constitution Ave NE
The First District is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on 2/16/22 at approximately 2:15pm in the 1500 block of Constitution Ave NE. The victim reported that three suspects surrounded him. One suspect produced a handgun and demanded the victims property. Taken were a cell phone and money. No injuries were reported. The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot south on 16th St NE.
The suspects were described as:
S-1: Black Male, 5’10”, 140lbs, 13-18 years of age wearing a black sweat shirt and black pants, armed with a handgun.
S-2: Black Male, 5’10”, wearing dark clothing.
S-3: Black Male, 5’5″, wearing dark clothing.
