Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery while Armed (Knife) offense that occurred on Friday, September 17, 2021, in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 11:13 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The victim fled into a nearby establishment. The suspect fled the scene without obtaining any property from the victim.

- Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 300 Block of G Street, Southwest
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Friday, September 17, 2021, in the 300 block of G Street, Southwest.
At approximately 4:15 pm, the suspect and the victim were involved in an argument at the listed location. During the argument, the suspect brandished a knife and assaulted the victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
On Friday, September 17, 2021, 42 year-old Ny’Tina Walker of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
- Suspect Sought in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 1000 Block of Half Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, September 17, 2021, in the 1000 block of Half Street, Southeast
At approximately 3:45 pm, the suspect and the victims were involved in a verbal dispute at the listed location. During the dispute, the suspect brandished a handgun and assaulted the victims then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos above.
- Robbery Force & Violence (900 block of S. Carolina St, SE)
The First District is currently investigating a Robbery by Force and Violence that occurred at approximately 2200 hours in the 900 block of S. Carolina Street, NE. The Victim was riding his bicycle on South Carolina Street when he was approached by two suspects who pushed him off his bicycle and stole it from him. The suspects also attempted to take the Victim’s laptop but were unsuccessful. The lookout for the suspects were for two black males, one was 5’4” in height, the other 5’7” in height, both were wearing dark clothing.
- Attempted Armed Carjacking – Unit Block of 7th Street, NE
On Monday. September 20, at approximately 9:30 pm an Attempt Armed Carjacking occurred in the Unit block of 7th Street, NE. The Victim was inside of her parked car, when she was approached by a suspect who demanded her to exit the vehicle or he would kill her. The suspect did this while tapping on her window with a handgun and pulling on the vehicle door handles. The lookout for the suspect is for a black male, about 5’10” in height, black sweater and dark colored pants.
- Attempted Carjacking – 8th & Virginia Ave SE
On Monday, September 20, shortly after 6:30 PM, an attempt was made to commit a carjacking in the parking lot underneath the freeway near 8th St and Virginia Ave SE. Three suspects in a gray Honda Accord with unknown Maryland tags demanded the victim’s vehicle but did not succeed in taking it. The victim was physically unharmed and the suspects were able to escape on to I-695. Our 1D Detectives and members of the Carjacking Task Force will actively investigate this and ask that anyone with information about this to please call in a tip to 202-727-9099 or anonymously text a tip to 50-411.
- First District Unarmed Carjacking
The First District is currently investigating a robbery that occurred on September 19, 2021 at approximately 7:40pm in the 1300 Block of D Street SE. The suspect approached the victim demanding the victim’s car keys. The suspect then fled in the stolen 2015 white Infinity sedan with Virginia tags.
The suspect is described as a black male, wearing all dark clothing
- Suspect Sought in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 100 Block of L Street, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, September 18, 2021, in the 100 block of L Street, Northeast.
At approximately 8:33 am, the suspect and the victim were involved in a dispute at the listed location. The suspect stabbed the victim and then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

- Arrest Made in a Homicide: 1600 Block of Gales Street, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce an arrest has been made in reference to a homicide that occurred on Monday, July 19, 2021, in the 1600 block of Gales Street, Northeast.
At approximately 7:42 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene until being transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 41 year-old Theodore Dewayne Riley, Jr., of Southeast, DC.
On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested 58 year-old Eric Davis, of Northeast, DC. He was charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.
