But, amazingly, our friends at WalletHub crunched the numbers and found that the District of Columbia has one of the best early education systems in the country. Yes, our early education is great, but as most of my fellow parents can tell you, things sharply decline as kids get older. This is why WalletHub also discovered that our education system as a whole is actually number 45 of 51. Sobering, isn’t it?

I honestly don’t understand why pools would start closing so soon– it’s still summer! Kids don’t return to school until the 26th! It stays hot until mid-October! I’ve suffered record-breaking heat around my birthday! DO NOT CLOSE THE POOLS SO SOON PLEASE! The Capper children’s pool closed on Sunday, and this weekend it’s Randall’s turn. DPR news
