Suspects Sought in H Street Robbery

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the community’s assistance to locate five suspects who assaulted a victim and took their property in Northeast.
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at approximately 10:05 p.m., the victim was walking in the 600 block of H Street, Northeast, when they were approached by five suspects. One of the suspects assaulted the victim and the victim fell to the ground. While the victim was on the ground the suspects continued to assault the victim and took property from the victim. The suspects fled the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries.
The suspects were captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos above.

  • MPD Searching for Puppies Taken in Armed Burglary

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in the search for three stolen puppies in an armed burglary in Northeast.
On Sunday, December 14, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast, for the report of a burglary. The suspects forcibly entered the victim’s apartment, brandishing firearms, and demanding property from the victims inside. The suspects took three French bulldog puppies before fleeing the scene.

  • MPD Makes Arrest in Northeast Robbery

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect in a robbery that occurred in Northeast.
On Thursday, December 11, 2025, at approximately 4:19 p.m., the victim was walking in the area of 18th Street and C Street, Northeast, when five suspects approached her. The first suspect, who had his hand in his pocket as if he had a weapon, demanded the victim’s cell phone. The victim complied, and all five suspects fled.
Officers quickly located one of the suspects and detained him. A 15-year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was placed under arrest for Robbery.

  • MPD Makes Arrests in L Street Shooting

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of three people for various weapons offenses that occurred near the Navy Yard.
On Thursday, December 11, 2025, at approximately 1:51 p.m., First District officers responded to the 600 block of L Street, Southeast, for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, conscious and breathing, suffering from gunshot wounds. A short time later, a second adult male walked into an area hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.
The detectives’ investigation revealed that the two men shot each other. 18-year-old Jalen Williams-Austin, of Woodbridge, VA, and 20-year-old Marquise Plater, of Northeast, were arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun), Carrying a Pistol Without a License, National Firearms Act, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Unlawful Discarding of Firearms/Ammunition, Possession of a Large-Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device, Prohibited Possession of Certain Dangerous Weapons, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, and two counts of Receiving Stolen Property.

  • MPD Investigating Pennsylvania Avenue Robbery

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the community’s assistance to identify three suspects involved in a robbery that occurred in Southeast.
On Friday, October 25, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the victim was standing in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, when three suspects approached him. The suspects assaulted the victim, stole his property then fled the scene.
