On Saturday the 13th, volunteers all across the US went to their local cemetery to lay wreaths on the graves of veterans. Congressional Cemetery was no different. We sent our photographer to take pictures, and while he failed at basic calendar-reading, and thus showed up a day late, he did manage to get some pictures of wreaths in the snow (RSP)
While many of the veterans have grave markers of the style that has been used since the Civil War (front), there are plenty that chose to have their own grave marker design (RSP)
There were even a few wreaths in front of Congressional Cenotaphs. Here’s Colonel James Morrison, who served during the Revolutionary War. (RSP)
Most of the wreaths were in the section known as “Little Arlington” (RSP)
