- Suspects Assault Man at Northeast Bus Stop
The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance to locate three suspects who assaulted a man in Northeast.
On Monday, September 8, 2025, at approximately 12:50 a.m., the victim was approached by multiple suspects at a bus stop in the 700 block of 8th Street, Northeast. The suspects assaulted the victim and fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital by D.C. Fire and EMS for treatment of his injuries.
The suspects were captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos above.

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks four suspects and a vehicle in three burglaries of establishments that occurred overnight in Northeast.
On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., four suspects broke the front door of a business in the 1100 block of H Street, Northeast, before entering the establishment and stealing US currency from the safe and register. CCN: 25137718

- MPD Arrests Suspect in Northeast Shooting
The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect in a shooting that occurred in Northeast.
On Thursday, November 7, 2024, at approximately 5:03 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to the Unit block of M Street, Northeast, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound and an adult female suffering from a graze wound. DC Fire and EMS transported the adult male to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. The female victim was treated on the scene by DC Fire and EMS.
On Friday, August 29, 2025, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 45-year-old Kevin Stanton of Southeast, D.C., was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun).
