Hi all! Happy to be back after a week off. I’m still recovering from having had all my Instagram accounts permanently suspended. The reason? All I could come up with when talking to a follower who’s a Meta engineer is that a very sensitive AI took exception to my texting with my teenage son. Be ye warned, parents, and learn from my tale of woe! Save the cursing with your kids (and the war plans) for Signal. Being treated like a criminal and not being able to download 13 years worth of pictures and content has been a terrible kicker.
I skipped the Fourth of July parade on Barracks Row because, frankly, last week was just a little depressing. But I hope you all had a wonderful time. The Washington Post did a 249th birthday recap of the fanfare that day. Don’t worry: I don’t plan on being in a funk for America’s 250th.
