- MPD Makes Arrest in Northeast Stabbing
The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a woman in a stabbing in Northeast.
On Monday, April 28, 2025, at approximately 5:35 p.m., Fifth District officers were flagged down by the victim of a stabbing in the 800 block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast. The suspect had stabbed an adult male before fleeing the scene. DC Fire and EMS responded and transported the victim to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The detective’s investigation found surveillance video in the area and a photo of the suspect was distributed to patrol officers to assist in the search for the suspect.
On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, officers familiar with this case located and arrested the suspect. As a result of the detectives investigation, 42-years-old Grace Shanita Hilliard of Northeast, was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (knife).
- MPD Arrests Southeast Robbery Suspect
The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect involved in two robberies in Southeast.
On Saturday, August 31, 2024, at approximately 2:12 a.m., the victims were in the 100 block of M Street, Southeast, when they were approached by three suspects. The suspects assaulted the victims and took their property. The suspects fled the scene. One victim was transported by DC Fire and EMS to a local area hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The second victim refused treatment. CCN: 24134042

On Saturday, November 16, 2024, at approximately 8:28 p.m., multiple suspects approached the victim in the 500 block of 14th Street, Southeast. The suspects proceeded to physically assault and stun the victim with a stun gun. The suspects then took the victim’s wallet and fled the scene. CCN: 24178436

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, pursuant to DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 19-year-old Darrell Walton, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for two counts of Robbery.
- MPD Seeks a Suspect in a Southeast Shooting

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks for the public’s assistance to identify and locate a suspect involved in a shooting in Southeast.
At approximately 1:13 a.m., on Saturday, April 26, 2025, First District officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 800 block of New Jersey Avenue, Southeast. The shooting victim, an adult male, was located in the Unit block of Q Street, Southwest. DC Fire and EMS arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.The investigation revealed that the shooting occurred during a dispute in the lobby of an apartment complex in the 800 block of New Jersey Avenue, Southeast.

- MPD Seeking Suspects in Pennsylvania Avenue Burglary
The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects who burglarized an establishment in Southeast.
On Thursday, March 27, 2025, at approximately 10:41 p.m., the suspects forcibly entered an establishment located in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. The suspects took property from the business before fleeing the scene.

- MPD Arrests Northeast Stabbing Suspect
The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect in a stabbing that occurred in Northeast.
On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at approximately 7:06 p.m., Fifth District officers responded to the 1600 block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast, for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male, conscious and breathing, suffering from a stab wound. DC Fire and EMS responded and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the detectives’ investigation, a 13-year-old male of Northeast, D.C., was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
