  • Officers Track Capitol Hill Robbery Suspects with Stolen iPhone; Two Juveniles Arrested

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of two juveniles in an armed robbery in Capitol Hill.
On Sunday, April 20, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., First District officers responded to the report of an armed robbery in the 100 block of 4th Street, Southeast. The suspects approached the victim, brandished a handgun, and began demanding property from the victim. The suspects fled the scene on foot with the victim’s property, including an iPhone.
With permission from the victim, officers on scene began tracking the stolen iPhone. The location of the iPhone and the lookout of the suspects was shared with other officers canvassing the area. A short time later, officers located and arrested two juveniles who matched the description of the suspects. During a search of the two juveniles, the victim’s property was located and recovered.
As a result of the officers’ swift actions and the detective’s investigation, a 15-year-old male and a 15-year-old female, both of Southeast, D.C. were charged with Armed Robbery (Gun).

  • Shooting at Penn/Potomac Ave

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 8:50pm on April 17 near the intersection of Potomac Ave and Pennsylvania Ave SE. An adult male was located nearby suffering from what appeared to be a graze wound to the back of his neck, and he was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The building at 1401 Pennsylvania Ave SE was also struck by errant gunfire. One round went through a window at The Roost and lodged in a wall, while another round struck a window frame to a second story apartment just above The Roost. There were no injuries reported by any patrons or residents at the building.

  • MPD Seeking Suspects in H Street Burglary

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects who burglarized an establishment in Northeast.
On Monday, March 17, 2025, at approximately 2:47 a.m., the suspects unlawfully entered the rear of an establishment located in the 1200 block of H Street, Northeast. The suspects took property from the business before fleeing the scene in an unidentified vehicle.
The suspects were captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in this video.
