Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating suspects in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, July 22, 2023, in the 100 Block of Tingey Street, Southeast.
At approximately 1:49 pm, the suspects approached the victim on a scooter at the listed location. One suspect brandished a handgun and took the victim’s property. The suspects fled the scene.
The suspects were captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos above.
- Arrests Made in an Armed Robbery (Knife) Offense: 1500 Block of Benning Road, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announce arrests have been made and an additional suspect is sought in reference to an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in the 1500 Block of Benning Road, Northeast.
At approximately 4:08 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and assaulted the victim. The suspects then took the victims property then fled the scene.
On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, 36-year-old Kevin Allen of Southwest, DC, and 26-year-old Danzell Lamont Hall of no fixed address, were arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Knife) and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
- Arrest Made in Armed Carjacking and Theft Offenses that Occurred in the District
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force announce an arrest has been made in Armed Carjacking and Theft offenses that occurred in the District. The offenses are listed below.
-Theft Two: On Monday, April 17, 2023, at approximately 2:07 pm, the suspect entered an establishment in the 5000 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. The suspect took property then fled the scene. CCN: 23-059-756
-Theft One: On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at approximately 3:23 pm, the suspects entered an establishment in the 1200 block of G Street, Northwest. The suspects took property then fled the scene. CCN: 23-095-644
-Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at approximately 2:33 am, the suspects were passengers in a ride share vehicle in the 1100 block of T Street, Northwest. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s vehicle has been recovered. -Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at approximately 11:09 pm, the suspects approached the victim, who was retrieving property from their vehicle, in the 800 block of Potomac Avenue, Southeast. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s vehicle has been recovered. -Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at approximately 2:05 am, the suspects approached the victim, who was retrieving property from their vehicle, in the 2600 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s vehicle has been recovered. -Attempted Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at approximately 2:30 am, the suspects’ vehicles blocked the victim, who was inside of their vehicle, in the 6300 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim fled the scene in their vehicle. CCN: 23-099-606
-Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at approximately 2:41 am, the suspects approached the victim, who was inside of their vehicle, in the 7400 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle and property. The victim complied. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, a 16-year-old juvenile male of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with the above offenses.
- Suspect Sought in a Traffic Fatality: 11th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Unit seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to a traffic fatality that occurred on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the intersection of 11th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
The preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 12:24 a.m., a 2005 Ford Focus was traveling northbound on 11th Street, Southeast and entered the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue with a green signal light. At the same time, a 2017 Mercedes C300 was traveling eastbound on Pennsylvania Avenue and entered the intersection of 11th Street, Southeast with a red signal light. The Mercedes struck the driver’s side of the Ford, causing an adult female rear seat passenger on the driver’s side of the Ford to be ejected from the vehicle. The two occupants of the Mercedes fled the scene on foot. The DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the adult female victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The two other occupants in the Ford were treated for minor injuries and released from area hospitals.
The decedent has been identified as 19-year-old Madison Jones, of Northwest, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department Major Crash Investigations Unit seek the public’s assistance in locating 30-year-old Andre Maurice Johnson. He is a suspect in reference to a Murder II for the above traffic fatality. Johnson can be seen in the photos below:

- Suspects Sought in a Robbery of an Establishment Offense in the First District
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating and identifying suspects in reference to a Robbery of an Establishment offense that occurred on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at approximately 9:45 p.m, in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
The suspects entered an establishment and demanded money from the register. The victim complied and the suspects took money and additional items and fled the establishment.
The suspects were captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photo at right.
