  • Suspect Sought in a Burglary Two of an Establishment Offense: 600 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to a Burglary Two offense that occurred on Friday, March 4, 2022, in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 2:18 am, the suspect forcibly entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos at right:

  • Suspect Sought in a Burglary Two Offense: 600 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to a Burglary Two offense that occurred on Monday, March 7, 2022, in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 3:59 am, the suspect forcibly gained entry into an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect took property and then fled the scene.
The suspect was captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos at left.

  • Attempted Carjacking

At approximately 11pm on March 5, in a rear parking area on the unit block of Potomac Ave. SE, 4 suspects approached a victim at his vehicle. One suspect brandished a a grey handgun and demanded the keys to the vehicle. The victim relinquished the vehicle’s key fob to one suspect. The four suspects then got in the vehicle, but were unable to drive away due to a lack of knowledge about the operation of the Hyundai sedan. The suspects are described as black males in their teens or twenties. One was wearing a blue/white jacket, one a green jacket and a third was wearing a dark colored winter jacket with a hood. All four suspects then fled across South Capitol Street to the southwest quadrant of the city.

  • Armed Carjacking

At approximately 2AM, an Uber Eats driver was directed to pick up food from a fictitious restaurant on the 400 block of Constitution Ave NW. This is in the vicinity of the National Gallery of Art. After being unable to find the fictitious restaurant, the victim parked his vehicle. The suspect then approached the victim, brandished a handgun, and demanded his vehicle. The victim then ran away from his Toyota Corolla. The vehicle was last seen westbound on Constitution Ave. NW. While investigating on the scene, the officers were approached by a different Uber eats driver, who asked directions to the same fictitious restaurant.
