Hi Neighbors!

I wanted to share some news and upcoming meetings with you:
You are always welcome to attend the full ANC meetings, next meeting is TONIGHT Tuesday March 10 at 7 p.m. at the Hill Center. Draft agenda is available here: https://anc6b.org/2020/02/26/march-2020-meetings-of-anc-6b/

Metro has extended the public comment period on the proposed Fiscal Year 2021 budget for one week. Public feedback will be accepted online at wmata.com/budget or by mail through 9am on Monday, March 9. I took the survey online, and they were asking about raising rates/changing the rate structure and how changes in the time between trains and busses would be received.

Related, have you heard about CM Charles Allen’s Metro for All proposal? There a good summary article on NPR: https://tinyurl.com/smab5sm
And, Wednesday March 25 at 6pm is CM Charles Allen’s budget town hall at Maury. Register through the link here: http://www.charlesallenward6.com/ward_6_budget_town_hall_2020

Thursday March 26 is the tentative date for the public meeting on the Pennsylvania Ave SE Corridor Study. This transportation planning study is focused on improving safety and mobility for bicyclists, pedestrians, transit and vehicular travel along this east/west connection from the west side of the Sousa Bridge to 2nd Street SE near the U.S. Capitol. More information is available here: https://www.pennavese.com

Monday April 2 at 6pm at Payne Elementary (1445 C St SE) is the planned public meeting to get updates on the Pennsylvania Ave/ Potomac Ave traffic circle. More to come on that when I have it.

Best, Kelly
