Hey music fans! If you’ve been around the interwebs and practically any local blog or forum in the last couple of days, you know that Dangerously Delicious Pies is having some neighborly trouble. While we believe that being good neighbors is about compromise, there’s been a disturbing trend toward newer residents demanding that places that are louder and stay up later (such as H Street NE) change their ways. Read the write-ups over at Frozen Tropics and Barred In DC so you can have more perspective on the issue, and if you would like to support Dangerously Delicious Pies, sign the petition here.

How about a live show at Dangerously Delicious instead? Take the kiddies to Rocknoceros tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. or go listen to Del Florida, Velocirapture and Changing Scene on Wednesday.

At Rock & Roll Hotel, you can catch TV Girl on Tuesday, May 21. 8 pm show. Tickets.

At Mr. Henry’s, catch a Julia Nixon double header this Saturday the 18th. Details and tickets here.

Of Monsters and Men, Phantogram and Babymetal go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 17.

Coming soon

An album you can watch? A movie that’s a soundtrack? That’s kind of the concept behind The National’s “I Am Easy to Find,” which you can watch by clicking the link. It’s the second best thing to do after seeing The National on June 19 at The Anthem. Too bad the show is sold out.

Alabina is coming to Echostage on Thursday, June 13. Want to go to a show that’s evocative of the Gipsy Kings but a lot more eclectic and inclusive? Then this is your show! Take a listen here. I predict you’ll be doing quick palms at some point today.
