Anthony Dale, ANC 6D05
This month has been a busy period for SMD 6D05. This month I introduced and along with the support of my colleagues passed a resolution that increases pedestrian safety. This resolution removes one parking space from the corner of 4th and M St SW. This change will allow DDOT & WMATA to move the bus stop further down on the corner. This small change would support to buses fully pulling into the bus stop and not obstruct this crosswalk. I believe this is a huge step forward to ensuring our friends and neighbors are safe when crossing this intersection.
Additionally, this month we along with the Amidon-Bowen PTA, I was able to negotiate a significant community benefit investment for Amidon-Bowen. This investment is one more step forward to ensuring our children are equipped to enter the global market and advance in their academic pursuits. I am thankful for the commitment that PN Hoffman is making in our community and appreciate their desire to ensure our little scholars are successful.
I look forward to continuing to work with PN Hoffman and other developers in our community to ensure we improve our public spaces, education facilities, and other community assets.
