The National Postal Museum Wants to Welcome Friends Back

Happy day: The government is back (at least, until February 15)! Today, take a moment to appreciate the little things, like forthcoming paychecks and a sense of purpose. This Saturday, take time to appreciate our most local Smithsonian, the National Postal Museum.

On Saturday, February 2, the National Postal Museum, 2 Massachusetts Avenue NE, will hold a welcome back celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will have tours, crafts, hands-on demos, scavenger hunts with prizes, movies, story time and special talks. This whole celebration is, of course, free of charge

If you’ve never been to the Postal Museum, it’s a great place to take children of all ages. It’s also architecturally stunning, designed by Daniel Burnham –who also designed the building next door, Union Station.
