We periodically share updates from your ANC commissioners, edited for brevity and clarity. Although these are most pertinent to particular single member districts (SMDs), we feel the information shared can be of interest to the whole Capitol Hill community. Good afternoon. The Hill East Taskforce is hosting a community meeting with DC agency representatives to talk about the future of Reservation 13 and RFK.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. tonight, Monday, December 10th, at St. Coletta of Greater Washington, 1900 Independence Ave SE. The meeting is open to the public.
The following individuals will be participating in the Hill East Taskforce meeting:
Metropolitan Police Department (MPD): LT Ron Wilkins
District Department of Transportation (DDOT): Amanda Stout
Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED): Ketan Gada (Note: This monthly meeting is special in that, for the first time in months, a representative from DMPED will be in attendance. MHC)
Department of General Services (DGS): Jeff Licklider
Donatelli Development: Chris Donatelli
The Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants (OVSJG) will not be participating in the meeting, as the agency has not yet selected an awardee for the DC Jail outreach contract. The awardee will be selected by the end of the month and OVSJG has agreed to meet with residents in January to brief them on the contract.
Please attend the December meeting. This is your opportunity to ask questions about the city’s plans for our neighborhood. Per this Washington Post article, Events DC and DC agencies are working together to add language to the federal appropriations bill that will bring the NFL back to RFK.
