Low Ticket Warning! Movember Pig Roast, this Saturday!!!

We are all aware of November traditions: Thanksgiving, Veterans Day, writing 50,000 words before the month is out. But the cleverest November tradition out there has to be November: A yearly growing of furry lip caterpillars to raise awareness of men’s health issues, also known as MOVEMBER (as in “mo” for “mustache”).

The fourth annual Movember Pig Roast is taking place this Saturday, November 10 starting at 3 p.m. at Little Miss Whiskey’s, 1104, H Street NE, and it promises to be a blast, all for an excellent cause. The all-you-can-eat pig roast will be helmed by The Queen Vic’s Ryan Gordon and DC Brau will bring the all-you-can-drink brews. Socially Funded will also be running a silent auction with great things to bid on.

Why raise awareness of men’s health issues? Because traditionally, men tend to neglect their own health issues, especially when it comes to urogenital and mental health. (Thank you, restrictive societal constructs that make men vulnerable while forcing them to be “manly!”)

Buy a ticket –only $60 for all you can eat and drink!– grow a mustache, and get yourself checked, so you don’t get cancer! Go get your tickets– this event will sell out!
