On The Hill:

As part of their 11-year anniversary, Rock & Roll Hotel welcomes Strand of Oaks on August 25. Tim Showalter, the brains behind Strand of Oaks, is known for taking personal experiences and turning them into emotionally raw, catchy rock ‘n’ roll music. His latest release, Hard Love, brings these emotions to the forefront in a dynamic variety of songs such as “Radio Kids,” “Cry,” and “Rest of It.” This will be a great show, so pick up your tickets here.

If you haven’t heard of War On Women, you’ve been missing out. This co-ed feminist hardcore-punk band was formed in Baltimore in 2011, and their fan base continues to expand to new levels. Impressive riffs and driving vocals come together as catchy music with a purpose. The music of W.O.W. brings issues such as rape culture, harassment, the gender wage gap, transphobia, and other social issues to the forefront of the scene. This show on August 26 is part of the Rock & Roll Hotel’s 11th Anniversary series. Get your tickets now.

Carter Louthian of Carter Lou & The Project wasn’t always music-bound. Through sadness and tragedy, he found that pursuing music was his passion and decided to forgo college at the last minute. This DC-based group creates passionate indie rock filled with incredible melodies and stories you’ll want to listen to all day. Carter Lou & The Project hits the Rock & Roll Hotel on September 1.
