After two weeks of driving across the country –5513 miles in all– I am back home in DC and catching up on all of the news I love sharing. It was a hell of a trip, though, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be in a position to take two full weeks to explore the country. I loved the reactions from people who saw our Nationals-themed DC license plate  and asked with amazement, “You drove all the way from DC?” Yep, sure did! This country is full of some amazing sites, nature, fascinating people, and so much history that we need to remember so we do not repeat it.

We also saw a lot of corn and soybeans.
