To Do Weekend of December 22 through 25

I totally forgot to write this the To Do List this week because I’ve been caught up in the swirl of holiday planning and prep. I could just post my own personal To Do list! It includes things like Buy orange juice, do laundry, make sure there are enough pillows!!!

Maybe sing that to the tune of Oh Holy Night to get yourself a little more into the spirit? I’m reaching.

There is precious little planned for this weekend since both Christmas and Hanukkah are happening. Here is what I found:

Tonight the Hill Center holds a Knife Skills class and while I’m so tempted to crack about sharpening up on your knife skills prior to time spent with family… fine I did. But how happy will your mom be when you offer to slice those onions to show off your new skills! The beginner level class costs $39 and begins at 6:30. There are still a few slots open so register here.

Step Afrika!’s Magical Musical Holiday Step Show is running at the Atlas tonight and will break for the holiday weekend and return on Tuesday. I know I mentioned it last week but really there is nothing else going on. Tickets are $18-$40. Tonight’s show begins at 7:30pm. Get your tickets here.

And that’s it. So enjoy our lovely neighborhood. Maybe bring the family for a skate in Canal Park or take them by Big George for a photo op. Stroll the market. Visit and shop at our local retailers and thank them for the long hours and hard work they put in to keep small and local business alive in our community. Smile at your neighbors. Be patient in long lines. We’re all in this together folks. Have a beautiful, peaceful and love filled-weekend.

Happy Holidays!
