Help Support LA Flood Relief Foundation at Little Miss Whiskey’s on Thursday!

unnamed-1As you know from the news, recent flooding in Louisiana has damaged more than 60,000 homes and businesses and affecting more than 100,000 residents. As the daughter of Louisiana natives, I still have a lot of family there and am passionate about helping out when I can.

A group of Louisana expats are The Louisiana State Society is hosting a D.C. Floodraiser for Relief on September 8 at Little Miss Whiskey’s on H Street to raise money directly for the LA Flood Relief Foundation.

They will be accepting $20 donations in exchange for 3 complimentary drink tickets from sponsors (Abita Brewing Co. + others), as well as entry to win raffle prizes throughout the evening. Smokin’ on the Bayou food truck will also be on site serving up some Louisiana BBQ.

Guests are encouraged to donate as much as they’d like and they will be able to accept cash, cards and checks. 100 percent of proceeds from the event will benefit the Baton Rouge Area Foundation’s Flood Relief Fund.

Those unable to attend are encouraged to make a donation online through this link: http://www.classy.org/ DCFloodraiserForRelief
