Homebody’s new location! OPEN FOR BIZ!
Look how nice and airy it is! And fun!
More than a few of us were horrified to hear that Homebody–formerly at 715 8th Street SE and everyone’s favorite store for perfectly quirky presents and can’t-live-without-them gadgets–would possibly leave the Hill. Homebody, we learned, would make way for Pineapple and Pearls, the new Aaron Silverman restaurant opening in early 2016. Thankfully, Homebody’s owner Henriette Fourcade had an ace up her sleeve, and in May of this year, she revealed that she and her delightful inventory would simply relocate and share space in the bottom floor of the Forecast boutique, 218 7th Street SE.
The move was, in fact, completed in September. The best part? Homebody’s tasteful quirk looks like it always belonged in the bottom floor of Homebody, down to the cheerful and modern chairs which have become favorites with selfie-takers. (Note: Said selfie-takers have all been so stealthy, by the time I pull out my phone or big-girl camera, they are GONE. If you catch someone mid-selfie and snap their photo, PLEASE let me know!)
Anyway: Homebody is celebrating their move! Join them in the celebration TODAY, October 8, starting at 6 p.m. (Free champagne!!)
