Academy 2015

CONNERSMITH hosts the fifteenth iteration of the annual exhibition showcasing up-and-coming artistic talent from the region’s graduating BFA and MFA classes. For more information about the virtual exhibition, click here.

The Fridge – 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

For the Love of Brick features twenty-five local and national artists whose works incorporate and are inspired by LEGO® bricks. Artists featured in the exhibition work in a variety of mediums including sculpture, paint, and graffiti. For more information, click here.

The Fridge is located at 516 1/2 8th St. SE in the rear alley.

Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7

Tanglewood Works – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Celebrate Tanglewood Works first Anniversary and the opening of their new Maker Space in Mount Rainier, MD. The open house and “Birth-A-Versary” event take place throughout the holiday weekend with free upcycling demos, refreshments and more. For details and to RSVP, click here.

Tangled Works is located at 4641 Tanglewood Drive, Hyattsville, MD.

The Maker Space is located at 3613 Oak Lame, Mt. Rainer, MD.
