Ah, spring! The birdies are singing and making nests, the insects are breeding left and right, the weeds are sprouting up, and the garbage is starting to smell extra bad.
Did you think this was going to be a post extolling the virtues of the fair season we’ve been waiting for so long? It is, a little. However, with great spring comes great responsibility, and it’s time to roll up your sleeves and help your neighborhood. The Sherwood Neighborhood Volunteers will be spiffing up Sherwood Recreation Center, 640 10th Street NE, this Saturday, May 2, 10 am-1 pm.
There will be much cleaning, mulching, weeding, planting, and beautifying. What does all your effort get you? Delicious lunch, generously provided by the Argonaut!
More information about Sherwood Neighborhood Volunteers can be found over at their Facebook page, or by following them on Twitter. Happy volunteering!
