The Happiest Hour: Atlas Brew Works, Now Serving Pints!

We have incurred the holy wrath of some of you out there by trying to extend the boundaries of Capitol Hill before. However, this is such a delicious piece of news, we hope even the most stringent by-the-book boundary supporters won’t mind this foray beyond H Street, because BEER.

As some of you may know, the District has had a strict policy regarding the amount of beer breweries are allowed to serve at their facilities. Previously, breweries in the District were only allowed to offer free tastings or flights. This past July 14th, the law changed: according to WTOP, “[b]reweries will be able to sell beer for consumption between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. seven days per week.”

The law change is our mitzvah: Atlas Brew Works, located at 2052 West Virginia Ave NE #102 — nestled close to Gallaudet University in the Trinidad neighborhood– will hold their first Happy Hour today, July 25th, starting at 5 pm. Happy Hour at a brewery close to home, and with this eerily perfect weather? Look for Paradise no further, John Milton: we totally found it.
