Join Tommy Wells and Acting Chancellor Kaya Henderson this Saturday at Eastern High School to learn more about Ward 6 public schools and to learn about the city’s plans for them. This is a great chance to share your ideas on how to improve our schools and to meet with DCPS leadership.
Refreshments will be served and childcare will be provided.
Along with exhibits and information on each school in Ward 6, rotating roundtable discussions with DCPS staff will cover:
- School Culture and Attendance
- Ward 6 Middle School Plan
- Academic Rigor and Common Core Standards
- DCPS Hopes and Dreams Discussion with the Chancellor
The meeting will be held on Saturday, May 14, from 10am –1pm at Eastern High School, located at 1700 East Capitol Street, NE
