It’s time again for the monthly ANC and PSA meetings. Check out the agendas and make a point of stopping by to find out the latest about what is going on in your neighborhood.
- Tuesday, October 12: ANC 6B will meet at 7pm at The People’s Church, located at 535 8th, SE. The full agenda can be found on their Web site. There will also be a special meeting on Tuesday, October 26th about the Barney Circle Historic Designation. Location will be announced soon. Also on Tuesday, the PSA 102 monthly meeting will be held at 7 pm at the Sherwood Recreation Center, corner of 10th and G Streets, NE.
- Wednesday, October 13: ANC 6C will meet at 7pm at the Heritage Foundation, located at 214 Massachusetts Avenue NE. The full agenda can be found on their Web site. Also on Wednesday, the PSA 103 monthly meeting will be held at 7pm at Miner Elementary School, 601 15th Street, NE.
- Thursday, October 14: ANC 6A will meet at 7pm at Miner Elementary, 601 15th Street, NE. The agenda can be found on their Web site.
- Monday, October 18: ANC 6D will meet at 7 pm at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church located at 600 M Street, SW. The agenda has not yet been posted to their Web site.
- Thursday, October 21: The PSA 107 monthly meeting will be held at Liberty Baptist Church 527 Kentucky Avenue, SE at 7pm.
- Saturday, October 23: The PSA 105 monthly meeting will be held at 10am at 1100 New Jersey Avenue, SE.

Our neighborhood hasn’t had an opportunity like this in all the years that we’ve lived here — that would be about 20 years! There are more candidates in ANC6B than in any other area of the city. Who knows why, but you can find out on Wednesday, October 20 from 6 to 8 PM by meeting the candidates and asking them why they think they should represent you.
Sometimes people discount the importance of ANCs, but in an area like ours that is ripe for development, the ANC is the critical player, meant to represent the interests of residents. Help shape the community we all call “home”. Come to the ANC6B Candidates Meet and Greet sponsored by EMMCA — Eastern Market Metro Community Association.
