The To Do List

Though the next two days don’t look good, the Post says that the weekend should be cloudy but dry. Here’s hoping they’re right and you can go out and play. There is lots to do this weekend.

I’m sure the folks putting on the Solar Decathlon on the National Malp aren’t happy about the lack of sun. Still, the students showing off their houses will be there through Sunday, and can tell you all about their low-energy-use houses, and how you can apply that technology to your home, as well.

Ghost tours continue on the Hill and around the city. This weekend, there’s even a children’s ghost tour on Saturday at 4 PM. All the gory stories have been removed, leaving only friendly ghosts to amuse the kiddies.  Tours start from Eastern Market Metro, but call/email ahead to reserve your spot.

The Postal Museum will be hosting “A Postal Party on the Hill.” Bring the kids this Friday, October 16. from 3 – 6 p.m. for hands-on activities.

Catch the last DC United home game on October 17 at 8 p.m. against the Columbus Crew.

The Renovator’s House Tour is on Saturday from 10- 4 p.m. Check the website for more info, and read our Wednesday post to get a sneak peak. See what your neighbors have done with their houses and help a good cause; all proceeds go to the Capitol Hill Cluster School.
