We’ve been hearing via the neighborhood listservs, Twitter and various other blogs that there have been multiple reports of rat poisoning found under benches and around Stanton Park. Whether this is the work of a well-meaning but misguided neighbor hoping to rid the park of its rodent population or a particularly sick breed of sociopath, please, please be cautious.
The poison found was the bright blue-green pellets – which can look like candy to a small child. This isn’t just a threat to your pets, but to your small children as well.
Be careful out there!
I was just walking my dog there this afternoon, and at least 2 people stopped me to warn me about the rat poison. It looks like getting the word out is working.
Someone has also posted fliers about it and put them up, but they’re easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention.
