Then and Now: St Ann’s School

Capitol Hill is full of schools. Schools still in use today, schools that have been repurposed and schools that are just…gone. One of the last is St. Ann’s School, at the corner of 8th and C Streets SE. After it was torn down, it was replaced by a new development by Barrett Linde.

There used to be movie theaters scattered throughout Capitol Hill. Some still exist, even if no longer used as a theater, some – like the Carolina Theater at the Corner of 11th Street and North Carolina Avenue SE are entirely gone.
