How funny would it be if that one inch we got last night is it and this storm totally passes us by? Just sayin’…
But as of now it’s looking like that is not the case and after apologizing for the poor response to last night’s snow, Mayor Bowser is declaring a snow emergency starting at 9:3o am Friday morning. That means no parking on snow emergency routes, which include Constitution Avenue, H Street, Independence Avenue, Pennsylvania, and a few addition main thoroughfares on the Hill (see full list of streets here).
Oh, and school is closed! Sorry, parents. Time to stock up on wine, popcorn, firewood and movies, because it’s time for a three day weekend!
