CSX, in partnership with the District Department of Transportation and the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration, launched a new website at www.virginiaavenuetunnel.com, which is a compilation of previously released project information and will serve as an information hub moving forward as new project information is made available.
In addition to the launch of the new site, CSX has announced a date for the Public Scoping Meeting on the Virginia Avenue Tunnel Environmental Assessment and Section 106 Compliance. The Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Van Ness Elementary School (1150 5th Street SE).
