Volunteer This Weekend and Help a Local School

For over 15 years Hands on DC has been working to make our public schools better, and the future of public schoolchildren brighter.  Here on the Hill they work at several schools during their Work-a-Thon every year, and this year is no exception, with 5 Capitol Hill schools making the list.  At the same time they raise money for scholarships for DC kids.  These schools need your help!

This year’s Work-a-Thon is on Saturday, April 30th.  Many of you have already signed up, and we hope you have a great time!  For those who can’t come out on the 30th, please consider donating to the scholarship fund, which goes directly to DC public school students headed to college.  For more information, visit the event page.

To prepare for the event next weekend, Hands on DC is in great need of volunteers on Saturday, April 23rd, to help deliver supplies to schools. To help out, send them an email.
