One of the nice things about getting to know realtors is that you sometimes get invited to realtor-only open houses during the week. And they usually serve food. I can pretty much be lured anywhere by the promise of lunch from Chix, truth be told.
Earlier this week I went over to check out the house pictured here. I think my love for porches is quite obvious, and this house at 319 13th, NE, has loads of outdoor rocking chair potential — a nice front porch and first and second floor balconies on the back. A cool breeze was blowing, so it was the perfect afternoon for enjoying all the outdoor space. As a matter of fact, the whole house was a breath of fresh air. Bright colors on the walls, a modern and efficient kitchen, plenty of sun in the bedrooms and, the big bonus for someone like me who works at home, a cozy office space that opens onto the second floor balcony. Ahhh …
Interested in seeing the rest of this weekend’s open houses? Look here. There are plenty to choose from. Thanks to Phil and Jeanne for sharing the link!

It looks like this one is onpen this weekend too. This block is fabulous!
