- MPD Seeking Suspect in Pennsylvania Avenue Burglary
The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a burglary of an establishment in Southeast.
On July 6, 2026, at approximately 6:47 a.m., First District officers responded to the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, for the report of a burglary of an establishment. At about 3:46 a.m., the suspect forced an exterior door open and entered the establishment. The suspect took a cash register that contained U.S. currency before fleeing the scene.
The suspect was captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in this video.
- MPD Seeking Two Suspects in Robbery

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects who assaulted and robbed a man in Southwest.
On Monday, September 7, 2026, at approximately 12:16 a.m., the suspects approached the victim while he was seated in his unlocked vehicle in the 3900 block of South Capitol Street, Southwest. The suspects opened the vehicle doors, assaulted the victim, took the victim’s property, and then fled the scene.
The suspects were captured by a nearby security camera and can be in the photos above.
