I’ve got a packed list of links for you this morning! I always expect things to quiet down in the summer but am pleasantly surprised when my Google Reader keeps filling up faster than I can read it.
- Shocker: We, The Pizza was a hot topic last week since Spike had his private opening party. I’d love to tell you how it was but THIH didn’t make the cut so we were left to read about it in other blogs, just like you. The official opening was supposed to be today but was pushed back until the 19th. See pictures and recaps at Zagat Buzz, Capital Cooking (two posts), Young & Hungry, and Capital Spice (can you spot the typos in the signage on the walls?).
- I included a brief note about this in yesterday’s ANC meeting post, and DCist elaborated a bit today: Artomatic is looking at the Hine School as a location for its next show. I think that would be great for the neighborhood and hope everything falls into place!
- Metrocurean‘s Five Bites on Friday featured several of our favorite Capitol Hill restaurants.
- Girl Meets Food gave The Star and Shamrock a great review.
- Greater Greater Washington did a two post series on the debate about whether or not to designate Barney Circle a historic district. Part 1 and Part 2.
- City Paper’s Housing Complex took a look at the progress being made at the Yards Park.
- And I missed this news on the 4th — a horse got loose around Capitol Hill. City Paper’s City Desk has the story.
- The Examiner ran a nice feature on the deals you can get at Eastern Market’s weekend flea market.
- Going Out Gurus put together a great video of the new Biergarten Haus.
- Belga Cafe’s Chef Bart Vandaele showed off his grilling skills on NBC 4.

Thanks for the mention! Glad you liked the review. I also secretly enjoy making fun of typos.
