It’s baaaack. Yes, the fence was put up over the weekend. During the work, Independence Avenue was shut down, though the bikers could still get through (RSP)
At this point, the fence was fully installed, and just the machinery was being stowed and taken away (RSP)
Fortunately, a number of gates remained, so walkers still had full access to the Capitol grounds. (RSP)
It was still a sad sight to see (RSP)
Inside the fence was also the beginnings of the work needed to broadcast the State of the Union address. (RSP)
For now, Independence Ave is open for traffic again. (RSP)
